Applications and characteristics of Zone Performance

  • Leverages Wi-Fi technology to divide a large surface area into smaller spaces. Uses mobile device movements to perform a customer shopping behavior analysis to determine how many devices stopped in a zone, and how many of them only passed through.
  • A ceiling-mounted video sensor (IP wide-angle camera) is used for footfall analysis, which identifies customer flow to clearly see where customers stop and how long they spend there. Flow analytics can be converted into heat maps of the store layout.
  • The Zone Performance dashboard is cloud based and updates every 24 hours. Some retail store KPIs measured are:
