Make your business stand out: how to adapt the content of the Digital Signage to your business?

In the current context we find ourselves in regarding consumption, we have noticed that we are living in a constant state of hyperconnectivity. Screens have become part of our lives. We look at screens every day, viewing content on our mobile phones, computers and tablets as well as on digital signage posted outdoors but also inside businesses.

But why do businesses choose to communicate and showcase their products using these types of digital channels? The aim of any business is to improve the customer’s shopping experience, promote customer loyalty and finally, generate more sales.

To accomplish this, traditional signage is becoming obsolete. Does it make sense to advertise via a sign posted on a bus stop? Or advertise your product on a unidirectional and static sign that is posted inside the same business where we can also physically find the product?

For this reason, digital channels have become the best modes of communication. And all of this thanks to the Content Management System (CMS).

Using Intelligent Digital Signage, a business can accomplish far more than simply using a screen to replace traditional signage. Using digital software, we can provide useful information in a manner that is more interactive, incorporating touch functions and new experiences that provide value to the customer.

However, what is actually relevant about this system is its ability to collect data during the process that occurs inside the premises and transform this data into personalized information for the audience as well as relevant knowledge for the store’s strategy.

This way, digital content that is played on the screens will typically be dynamic files and require a CMS or content management system capable of programming, adapting, updating and sending the contents to be played on the screens that are located inside the premises.

However, this is nothing new. Many businesses already have a functional CMS that is capable of attracting and retaining the attention of the audience using content that is interactive, current and personalized. Then, how do we continue moving forward to create better content and ultimately differentiate ourselves from the competition?

How can we find what sets us apart?

If a business is looking to personalize the customer’s purchasing experience, it makes sense for the business to also use a CMS that is adapted to their needs and that is also capable of managing the contents of the business to offer the best content for their audience.

First, we must ask ourselves, what differentiates my business from the competition? Even the smallest detail can make the difference. If a company has their own typography, can it be used for creating their contents? Beabloo’s CMS is capable of downloading this typography to display the contents of the digital signage at the establishment.

What other components define the establishment? Background music can be used as a differentiating factor that identifies the brand. In some cases, this background music becomes a sign of identity for the brand as well as a determining element of its business strategy.

Beabloo’s CMS provides the option of using and choosing the option of keeping the background music playing as well as displaying content without music or of configuring the system so the background music will be turned off when the content being broadcast has its own audio and then turned back on automatically once the content is no longer being broadcast.

However, how do we know what format to use for each content? It is not indispensable but recommended using audio, video and image files that are mp3 (audio), mp4 (video) and png or jpg format (for the image files). However, Beabloo’s CMS has the option of converting any format to a valid one that can be used by the system.

The system also allows splitting the screen (screen layout) in a manner that is different than any of the offered options. Likewise, Beabloo’s API can be used to interact with the system and obtain the information required for creating your own applications using data from the CMS.

What if I need to make changes?

One of the great advantages provided by CMS is its ability to automatically make changes to the programming. Also, whitelist/blacklist tags can be created; in other words, a system of tags can be created to filter the messages that are displayed on the screen. This way, large Digital Signage networks can be easily managed.

How do we organize the different types of Digital Signage networks? Thanks to the hierarchical structure of organizations, the business has unlimited flexibility to do so.

In addition to this, the CMS enables to visually edit the templates, preview the program components, broadcast images during certain time slots and remotely change the direction the screen is facing.

To control all of this, the CMS is also equipped with Magic Control: the possibility of graphically and remotely connecting to the device and viewing what is being broadcast in real time. What if an error is noticed in the content? Remote Reboot allows to remotely, easily and intuitively reboot the player.

What about the advertising campaigns? Beabloo’s CMS is capable of directly managing these types of campaigns, with reporting included, in addition to integrating social networks or RSS.

Also, Beabloo’s digital signage screens playback the content in a manner that is synchronized by default, as long as equal or symmetric programs (with the same number of elements of the same duration) are assigned to the screens.

Likewise, specific advertising campaigns can be synchronized to display them in a synchronized manner, even on screens with different and asymmetrical programs.

All with the aim of improving the customer’s experience, who, accustomed to interacting with screens, will continue demanding content that is increasingly more personalized and tailored to their preferences.

This way the CMS includes the possibility of launching interactive content when an RFID tag or bar code is read as well as adapting these interactive contents based on the weather conditions and the gender of the person that is standing in front of it as well as offer the possibility of completing a satisfaction survey.

Finally, Minerva comes into play and the possibility of delegating the management of the contents of the Digital Signage to Beabloo’s Artificial Intelligence.
